For customers

Order terms

When submitting an order for manual or machine assembly in classical or SMT technology, the conditions below should be observed. They speed up and reduce the cost of the order.

On receipt of an order, we perform an indicative completeness check; a detailed check is not possible for time reasons. Before the order is confirmed it is helpful to agree on delivery of full component reels or on the use of reels we already keep in stock.

Drawing documentation

BOM & assembly drawing

The bill of materials (BOM) must contain:

  • component identifiers matching the drawing;
  • value and type of component matching the part supplied;
  • lead pitch is welcome;
  • group same-value, same-package components into one line — for example 2 …… 10k …… R1, R2, R10, R45 …… 1206.

The assembly drawing must contain:

  • a clearly marked component matching the BOM;
  • marking of un-tinned leads (for wave-soldered boards);
  • marking of components mounted specifically (above the PCB, lying down, etc.);
  • marking of components that cannot be wave-soldered;
  • clearly marked component polarity;
  • specification of glue fixation of components for wave soldering.
B

PCB design recommendations

Layout rules
  • components must not overhang the board edges; minimum distance from the edge 2.5 mm (mandatory on at least two opposite sides);
  • follow generally accepted layout rules for wave and reflow soldering.
C

Component delivery

Packaging
  • deliver components in labelled bags, reels or tubes, anti-statically packed as needed;
  • original packaging is preferred; do not remove SMD components from tapes (blisters);
  • deliver moisture-sensitive components in original packaging.

Stencils

Sizes & layouts

If a metal or plastic stencil is needed, it must be ordered together with the printed board. Notes We recommend the following fixture-hole configurations — to be agreed individually:

Warnings for customer-supplied PCBs

Important

! Notice

Due to problems with the solderability of PCBs finished with "chemical tin" or OSP organic finishes, since 2019 we do not accept boards with those surface finishes. In exceptional cases a control coupon must always be attached.

! PCB quality

Defects on soldered boards caused by poor PCB manufacturing (faulty solder mask, board delamination, non-solderable surfaces and others) have recently increased. We process every PCB using our standard, proven technological process. We therefore do not take responsibility for such defects.

Adhering to these conditions will significantly speed up order processing. Should the stated requirements not be met, we reserve the right to increase the price by the additional work required, and the delivery time may be extended. Different conditions of delivery and material preparation can be agreed where necessary.
